Autodromo Internacional de Algarve
If motor racing is a passion of yours, then the famous Portimão race track is a utopian destination for you to visit during your Algarve stay. Formally known as the Autodromo Internacional de Algarve, this world-renowned race track has a series of huge sporting events throughout the calendar year. Portimão Museum
Immerse yourself in the history of Portimão with a trip to the town’s museum. The museum is located just a short stroll from the ship port, on the waterfront. Discover the backstory of the town’s fishing roots amidst the quirky setting of a fish canning factory, which is what the museum once was.
Divided into three sections, embark on a historical journey and learn about the Roman era, Portimão’s boat-building heritage and the early man section, which displays an impressive range of artefacts. A standout highlight is the mini-film that provides a startling insight into the life workers had back then.
