Family Fun on The Algarve
With the temperatures already hitting 30, it’s the beginning of high season on the Algarve.
We’ve been keeping busy in the Real Algarve office as we make last minute arrangements and bookings for our guests whilst they settle in for their half term break across our resorts.
As many of our guests are families at this time of year– our concierge service, Algarve aunties has been in full swing with babysitting, nanny services and booking outings and excursions. Most popular this year have been trips to Zoo Marine to swim with the dolphins and see the shows, Segway rides around the Ria Formosa and lake, karting and the very latest craze – foot golf.
Watch this space next month for feedback from our guests and amazing photos of the children enjoying their experiences!
Here’s some members of the Aunties team below! If you would like our help during your holiday on the Algarve contact algarveaunties@gmail.com +351918435448 /+44(0)7470076825
You can also find details about Algarve aunties in the Real Algarve luxury villa rentals concierge service.
Other things happening for half term…

There are also play areas for both adults and children to show off their creative flair.
At Quinta do Lago there is a great little man-made lake where various water sports are available for all ages. The beach, swimming and paddling is safe and fun for all the family. Lagowatersports.com provides activities including the standup paddle, windsurf, hobie catamaran, boats and canoes as well as themed pedalos and a mini aqua park with climbing obstacles, jet skis and bikes.

If you are coming to visit us at the end of June don’t miss the amazing Med Festival (runs 29th June to 2nd July) one of the most exciting events in the region, held in Loule. This international music festival hosts world music concerts, dancing, craft and handicraft stalls, theatre and street performers. Multi cultural food stalls offer many local delicacies, whilst the residents open their homes to offer drinks and beverages. Make sure you try a caipirinha, Brazil’s famous national cocktail made from cachaca sugarcane and lime juice.
After busy days spent at the local festivals or trying out the latest watersports craze, make sure you relax at the Algarve’s beautiful blue flag beaches or by your luxurious swimming pool glistening in the sunshine. Whilst the most memorable evenings will be spent at the informal beachside bars or marina restaurants watching the world go by!
