Solar Real combines contemporary decor with a fittingly regal style, being owned by the Portuguese Royal Family.

Perched on the cliffs of Ferragudo, it offers privacy, outstanding views and a wonderful outdoor area with pool (12.5 x 5 metres).

There are nine bedrooms in the three-storey villa, all with ensuite bathrooms. Four are located on the ground floor, one is on the lower ground and four are on the first floor. While newly refurbished, all the rooms have retained the original bed bases, complete with the family coat of arms.

Most of the living space is located on the ground floor where there is a large drawing room with stunning views out onto the terrace and the sea beyond. A formal dining room seats eight at the main table, with room for 10 more on additional round tables. The recently refurbished kitchen includes all modern accessories and appliances and this floor even includes a small chapel. There is also a music room and a breakfast room.

Ideal for families, the villa offers a number of cots and high chairs. There is a lift but this is turned off for child safety, although it can be used for luggage. A lay room includes a table tennis table and there are a second TV room and a bar on the lower ground floor.

Outside, the pool enjoys unrivalled views across the bay, providing beautiful sunsets. There is an elegant outdoor dining area, a number of terraces and a poolside shower and private steps down to a sandy beach.

A housekeeper and gardener maintain the house and grounds on weekdays and meals can be arranged.
