Albuferia is a stunning coastal city on the Algarve that is a popular destination for families. This is home to sandy blue flag beaches and a busy nightlife strip too. Here you can join in on activities such as diving and dolphin watching.
One thing that you may not know about Albufeira is that it’s home to a street cat who has over 22,000 likes on Facebook! Mr No Ears is a one-eyed cat with one ear that is beloved by locals and holidaymakers everywhere.
The Algarve is the home of fire water!
The Algarve is home to a strong spirit that’s harvested from Medronho trees, which grow wild on poor soils. Fire water is a traditional fruity brandy and is infamously strong, making up 48% of alcohol. This is a Portuguese tradition, so when you’re in the Algarve be sure to have a shot!

If you’re a foodie, then you will be in your element on the Algarve. The golden triangle is famous for blue flag white sandy beaches and crystal blue water, so it’s no surprise that the seafood is incredible.
